PetWise FAQS

What are the centres' opening times?

Our doors open from 7.00am-6.00pm Monday-Friday.

What activities do the dogs get up to during the day?

Your dog has a choice of activities they can take part in - playtime with the other dogs, bouncing on the trampoline, running through the giant ball pit, splashing in the paddling pool or joining in games such as bubble chasing and sit & stays. There is also scheduled nap times in the doggy den so that even the most active dogs can relax before another play session.

Is daycare suitable for my puppy?

Daycare is the perfect solution to get your puppy socialised and confident off-lead as soon as possible! We have a big group of friendly dogs for your puppy to make friends with and to learn from, and we can introduce them to as many different situations as possible. We help your pup gain confidence around other dogs, help with toilet training and basic sit and stays.

I have a small dog - would he be ok at daycare?

All sizes and breeds of dog are welcome at Doggy Day Care, however we always offer a 2 hour settling in period for your pooch to see if they are suitable and are happy to be there. This is especially important for your small dog as although most small pooches that come to the centre have big personalities and are confident with the larger breeds, we don't want your dog feeling uncomfortable in any way.

How do you make sure all the dogs get on together?

We feel it is really important for your dog to feel happy and confident with staff and the other dogs at daycare before they enroll, so all new dogs get a 2 Hour Settling In Pass. This period also allows us to make sure all dogs at the centre are dog friendly and have the correct temperament for daycare life. The settling in period is £10, to be paid on booking, and will be deducted off your dog's first day of daycare if they pass.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated to attended day care?

Your dog must be fully vaccinated against parvovirus, leptospirosis, hepatitis, distemper and photo evidence will be needed to be kept on record. We are also happy to accept a Vaccicheck certificate from your vets.

What are your policies on neutered males?

We are happy to accept entire males up to the age of 18 months, providing they are not aggressive or show unwanted behaviours such as humping towards other dogs. Any male over 18 months must be neutered to attend doggy day care.

Does my dog have to come every week?

Yes, we require all dogs to attend a minimum of once a week. Although this can be a different day every week.

Can I have a look around the centre?

As the happiness of our daycare dogs is our No 1. priority, we are not doing tours of the Centre. We are sure you understand that just like a stranger coming into your house can be stressful for your dog, it is the exact same at PetWise. It would ruin our fun and can also be looked at from a safety point of view - if your dog was here, would you want strangers coming in and causing unnecessary stress? The best way to see the Centre is through our Facebook Page. We upload daily photos and videos which show you exactly what we get up to, what the Centre looks like and how happy all the dogs are to be here.

Is there parking?

Yes we have parking spaces at the front of the centre.

How do I book my dog in for daycare?

Its very easy! You can either call 0151 677 7814 or email info@petwise.org to book your dogs 2hr settling in period.

How do I pay?

At the moment we accept cash, monthly direct debits or card transaction.
